The places I have seen

 

I’ve taken the tour of Gracelands

Walked Beale Street and listened to the blues

Dipped my foot in the Great Mississippi

Minus my Blue Suede Shoes

 

Got lost in Kansas City

Ended up in Salem town

Salem, Mississippi

Not the Salem of renown

 

I’ve lain on the beach

And paddled at the Gulf of Mexico

asses the sign for Florida

One day that’s where I’ll go

 

I’ve looked down from the Empire State

At the city that’s named twice

Eaten burger and chips in Times Square

It really was very nice

 

I’ve travelled to Transylvania

To have Bloody Marys with Vlad

Climbed the steps up to his home

He wasn’t there – so sad

 

I’ve been to the Greek Islands

Toured round the Mountains of Crete

Drank ouzo and homemade haraki

Knocked me off my feet

 

I think I have an affliction

I’m sick when I stay at home

My feet are itching like crazy

It’s time once more to roam
