Why is Santa stout
And why does his tummy stick out?
Do you think he tries
Eating too many pies
Before their sell by date?
Do you think maybe Santa is thin?
It’s just a fat suit he’s in
It’s layered for heat
Right down to his feet
Inflates and he steps right in
Maybe it’s his house as well
With a glittery, jangly bell
He just slides down the shute
Inside his red suit
From outside no one can tell
No Santa’s a jolly big man
A great big bundle of love
He brings joy and cheer
As he flies round each year
And lands on your roof from above
So don’t forget on Christmas Eve night
Before you turn out the light
To leave out some sweets
Mince pies and treats
So Santa can have a wee bite
And remember he knows when you’re sleeping
Knows when you’re secretly peeping
So close those tired eyes
And when you arise
You’ll see all the gifts he’s been keeping! (FOR YOU!)
