I had a lovely meal in La Scena restaurant. The only eaterie, apart from Madisons which doesn’t treat me like a one woman oddity!! Then went to beach, lasted ten minutes then started to twitch like a spider on a griddle! On the deckchair!! What is wrong with me? Chillax!! Relax!! No!! Not working!! Sit up!! Lie down!! Sit up!! F–K it!!! I’ll write! Romanian people are the most friendly, lovely people, and kindest people you would ever hope to meet!! They go out of their way to help. But Jesus there really are some posers here and I don’t mean the men! I was waiting for the lift last night (O. K, O. K!! I was tired!! No seven flights of stairs that time!!) A female poser was waiting, checking herself out in the lift doors before they opened!! Then proceeded to do the same inside the lift after a family had left! I was squashed behind her with a large, chocolate, a mint ice cream which was intent on melting and dribbling down my chin!!! She must have been traumatised! Terrified even! Of this uncouth stranger’s ice cream touching her, and shattering her perfection!! She swiftly moved away from me when the lift was cleared a bit! The make up must be tattooed on, too perfect! Hair like Scully in the X Files! Never out of place no matter how many alien creatures they grapple with and so skinny if they swallowed a grape you’d swear they were pregnant!! And do you know something? I don’t envy them in the least. I look at my kids and grandkids (better grandmother than I was a mother) and I know it was all worth it!! My wee(Hmm!!) pot belly, my legs like the map of Ireland and my droopy top half!! I pity them(not my top half, but the girls) actually! I They’re young and will soon learn that happiness is not in how you look or how your hair cascades down your back like gleaming gold or a silver river or how small a dress size you can get into. It’s in the goodness of your children and the smiles of your grandchildren as they run into your arms. Right! No more beer for me!! But, yeah I mean it!!
