NIGHT CREATURE

A nip in the neck is not chronic

A plaster and a little pain tonic

The vampire’s intentions platonic

What you feel now is ironic

You’re supposed to not like what they do

But the feelings of lust have burst through

You’d like to repeat what he did to you

Perhaps linger a little longer too

But now you’re feeling so weary

And perhaps a little teary

Your Lover’s long gone, My Dearie

Your life is over nearly

Now here comes the morning

Another day is dawning

Creature of the night is yawning

Straight to bed! To rest his head!

Good Morning!!

BLOOD FEAST

In the darkness, waiting,

Watching, listening

Eyes piercing the gloom

Pointed teeth glistening

Hunger drew him out that night

The time and date safely right

He wasn’t evil

Or the devil

He just wanted to feed

On the sustenance he would need

To sleep away the cruel light

To dream, to wake in the dark of night

Animal blood not enough for a meal

He yearned for human blood to steal

“Please don’t judge me. I don’t want to be

The bringer of death’s eternity.

If your blood it pleases me

At my side you’ll always be

Beware the stake and the garlic cross

As they try to avenge their loved one’s loss

We are a breed, in constant need, and will remain

The seekers of that bloated vein

We nip it gently, Oh so slow.

And watch the rich, red nectar flow

From vein to mouth we drink our fill

We apologize for the need to kill

On this special night we have no fear

The only night in the calendar year

We walk among the Human Race

Smile and nod to each Human face

Bide our time, don’t be keen

We have our pick on Halloween!

Halloween Hootenanny!!

Keeley was dressed as a convict

Molly was dressed as a cat

Jack was dressed as a vampire bat

And that’s the end of that

Jack went looking for Mr Drac

Molly went looking for Splatt

Keeley sat in her prison cell

How does she get out of that?

Jack found Drac and bit him

Molly found Splatt and kissed him

Keeley got out, give a shout

Ran up the road and missed them

By the end of the night Jack was weary

Molly so tired she was teary

Keeley took pains, to shrug off her chain

Down in the muck they fell again

But they all enjoyed the Halloween night

Give all of their neighbours a really good fright

Plenty of chocolate, plenty of candy

Jack’s Drac cloak sure came in handy

The goodies thrown in and tied in a knot

When they reached home they’d see what they’d got

Keeley, Molly and Jack had a great hoot

Loaded down now with the convict’s loot!

While they were walking home down the street

Two little children they happened to meet

One was dressed like a fairy with wings of gold

The other Superman, broad and bold.
