A few romantic poems for upcoming Valentines Day!!
“Do you come here often” says he to her
“Surely you have a date
Your face, your eyes, your hair, Wow!!
You really are looking just great!”
“Well, thank you, kind Sir” the lady replied
I took some more care tonight
I hoped to meet a really nice boy
And to me you look just right!”
So they danced and they laughed
They talked and had fun
They shared and they joked and they fought
They each had a thought at the very same time
Yes, I think this is the one!
“Will you marry me, dear” the stranger requested
“I know it’s a little too soon
But I feel I have known you all of my life
We’ll get wed ‘neath the silvery moon!”
The lady was flummoxed
She hmmed and she hawed
“I’ll take a chance with you, I think
You’re very impetuous, kind and a laugh
C’mon and I’ll buy you a drink!”
And so our romantic duo held hands
As they giggled their way up the street
“Can we do this again” she said with a grin
Where else could we pretend to meet!”
So listen here you old married folk
