JAMBOR SEA

JAMBOR SEA!!!!

Down upon the sandy shore

Things were very jolly

A crab was doing line dancing

And eating a pink ice lolly

The jellyfish were jumping

Up and down and round

They couldn’t quite get comfy

On the slipping , sliding ground

The fish they did the cha cha

One two   one two three

There were so many of them

They were frothing up the sea

The tiny little sandworms

Formed a conga line

They had never had such fun

And were feeling plenty fine

The lovely little sea horse

Enjoyed the seaside show

He clapped and clapped and waved his tail

And sang “Hey, diddly O!!

The starfish turned themselves right up

And caused the beach to glow

The poor wee tortoise tried his best

At the quick quick   quick quick slow

The mermaids swam in from the deep

And served refreshments out

The whale he sang from the farthest wave

Blowing fountains from his spout

There was rocking and rolling on the beach that night

The dolphins mimed Elvis in the sand

The Great Big White belly danced all night

And the salmon formed a new boy band

When the sky grew bright on that wonderful scene

The dancers could hardly stand

They flopped right down wherever they could

On the glorious cool, cool sand

So if you see a little crab

Who,s weaving to and fro

You’ll know that he has just come back

From the seasides greatest show.

ANIMAL ANTICS

ANIMAL ANTICS

There was a cat that snuffled and a dog that wuffled

A guinea pig that snored

A fish that spat and a mouse like a rat

And a ladybird that roared

Ahive of bees in the orange trees

And a panther lying flat

A short necked giraffe caused the hyena to laugh

And the rhinocerous plopped down splat!

A chimpanzee swung a gnu by the tail

While a zebra escaped down the road

The leopard forgot to stick on his spots

While the frog played hopscotch with the toad

Th elephant shrieked when the little mouse squeaked

And jumped into the arms of the bear

The cobra hissed, yelled “Desist!”

And hypnotised all with his stare

The toys all flocked back into their box

As dawn appeared in the sky

Little Keeley and Molly asleep with their dollies

Yawned, stretched and opened their eyes.

BODHRAN BASHING

THE NEW IRISH SPORT OF BODHRAN BASHING!

Dark and thick and topped in white

Fragrant, strong on a cold dark night

Dublin city ready to burst

Only the Dark Stuff would quench the thirst

Of the waiting crowd, poised and ready

Hands and arms strong and steady

A drum roll sounded , the time drew near

To make that record disappear

Bodhrans held above the head

They listened as the D J said:

“Pound those drums, stamp those feet

Show the Aussies we’re not beat

That Guinness record we’ll tear asunder

Our bodhrans don’t belong Down Under

1500 bash that skin

That record book we will be in.

The Irish sound will travel free

12,000 miles to each Aussie”
