And bright coloured wings

Long dress of gold

A wand to hold

Shiny crown

That matches my gown

Sheer white mittens

With embroidered kittens

Heeled slippers brand new

Every colour and hue

Nanny that’s really what I’d like to do.”

Sez I with a smile

“My beautiful child

The choice is completely yours

No creepy cat

Or big black bat

No witch with a broom

In a scary room

No ghosts, goblin or scary clown

No Frankenstein with furrowed frown

Just a beautiful girl

With a cheeky wee grin

Who suits very well the costume she’s in.

 

 

 

 

 

Keeley got up early

And said Goodbye to Bunny

It was a lovely day to be going away                                   

Everything bright and sunny

 

She was leaving her wee family

But she really wasn’t sad

She lifted her book to have a look

Her little heart was glad

 

She would miss her Mummy and Daddy

And her Little Sis

But before she left them all bereft

Everyone would get a kiss

 

“Now hurry up there, Keeley”

She heard her Mummy say

You don’t want to be late on your first date

With your new school today.

 

Keeley you’re gorgeous

You’re our pride and joy

You were put on this earth

For us to enjoy

 

Your skin’s really glowing

Your eyes wide and bright

You’ve got my attention

Morning, Noon and Night

 

Your giggle’s infectious

Your smile is sublime

I’m proud to be pushing your pram near and far                              

I’m proud of your permanent seat in my car

Those outstretched arms are a sight to behold

That cheeky wee grin a big crock of gold
