CATAS-TREE-PHE

Two little kittens as cute as can be

Dismantled, demolished the Christmas tree

Climbed up the branches,

Dislodged every light

This ruination continued

Night after night

Managed to get tinsel wrapped round their heads

Spread glitter and snowflakes all over their beds

Colourful baubles lay strewn on the floor

As our two tiny renegades slunk out the door

The tree was restored to its former glory

But I’m afraid that’s not the end of the story

Bertie and Burroughs tripped back in and then

Proceeded to do the same thing again

This time the tree was pulled down to the floor

As poor Sarah yelled, ” I can’t take anymore!”

She scolded the kittens. She was really cross.

Tried to show them that she was the boss

But they looked so sweet as they gazed up at her

She could hear the soft sounds of the kittens purr

She gathered them up

So soft and so small

They are only kittens after all.
