Timmy and Tommy the turkeys
Were strutting about the farm
They felt quite safe
In this wonderful place
They thought they would come to no harm
Christmas was fast approaching
And the farmer was ever so good
Oats and grain
Again and again
They were plumping up with food
The duo had called out to Santa
Hoping that he would hear
Their wishes quite small
Really nothing at all
Just to live until next year
But one day the farmer approached them
Not with food but an axe
The two looked at each other
Whispered: “What’s up Brother?
Let’s run before he attacks!”
In the farmers house on Christmas Day
The table was laden with food
The taties were browned, enough to go round
And the turkey was really quite good.
